Basics
NAME: Galadriel
AGE: 15,000~
NATIONALITY: Rifter
RACE: Elven
OCCUPATION: None
HEIGHT: 6'4" (193 cm)
BUILD: Willowy
HAIR: Golden and very long
EYES: Blue
BEARING: Uncannily graceful, grave, and distant.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES: Galadriel is very tall, has long golden hair that glitters like literal sunlight, and gleams like a beacon of starlight and dawn. She wears a very strange brooch on her at all times, it is silver, shaped like an eagle, and has a suspiciously green light it gives off always. All in all, unless she's wearing a cloak/blackout curtain, she's pretty hard to miss, but she has no scars or distinguishing marks apart from her generally bizarre appearance and extremely regal bearing.
Status

Galadriel tentatively serves the Inquisition, though it's more an allegiance based in repaying her hosts than devotion to the cause. She is not currently involved in anything to do with mages in Thedas.*

Update:
Galadriel does not serve the Inquisition but will, under almost all circumstances, aid and assist those who work for it. She will gladly repay any who do her kindness or favors with the same and is very likely to gift those whom the Inquisition has troubled with some form of recompense. After her time in the Inquisition cells, she has become very fond of people who are treated to the same.

Currently, she is avoiding notice as best as she is able, but that is not likely to last long.

Reputation

Galadriel when she first arrived was a largely benign force; she assisted the Inquisition in the field, lent them her expertise and power, and enjoyed the company of all who wandered Skyhold (except the Wardens). She was exceptionally fond of the Dalish and made fine friends of any who would speak with her for any length of time.

When a rift opened above Skyhold, Galadriel was present to help in closing it. Unfortunately, due to a very severe misunderstanding afterward, Galadriel was locked in the cells below Skyhold. Galadriel refused to swear the Inquisition an oath (that she would not use her power to open Rifts if the need arose, specifically, but she would have refused to swear anything as that is not the Noldorin way) and was only freed once Thranduil arrived and brokered for her release.

After her release and until she departed from Thedas for some long time, Galadriel was assigned a series of Templar guards to guarantee that she did not disrupt or damage the Veil with her strange Rifter Magics. Galadriel, over the course of several months, got rather good at evading or abandoning her guards but they were a perpetual irritant to her and a reminder that she had been arrested and thrown in jail over a disagreement in a closed room. (As a ruling monarch and one of the highest born living creatures in Arda, she took special exception to this.)

Now that she has returned, she has no desire to alert the Templar to her presence again.

Hooks

Upon arriving in Thedas this time, Galadriel has found herself in possession of the Elessar (a brooch that restores things to the height of their glory and, by extension, has some vague healing related powers) but she has lost her Ring of Power. While Galadriel did not use her ring for evil, she did use it almost constantly and those things are notoriously addictive. She wore it longer than most creatures in Arda and is very much in withdrawal. She is desperately seeking new power and is far cagier than she was previously. Given her poor experiences with the Inquisition last time around, she is very unlikely to take this concern to them...but somewhere in Thedas, one of the most powerful artifacts from Arda is just hanging out. Not on her hand.

Galadriel once spent all her time learning the languages of Thedas through careful scribing and calculation. Her books of notes, unfortunately, were left in Skyhold, as were the many books she wrote out in Quenya. She will be trying to recreate those in Kirkwall but she will be far less open about the practice. Engage with her in the Library or en route to the library as she kidnaps books.

She is in the process of learning to use a staff and is having great trouble with it. Thedas' magic doesn't bend the way her power always has and the veil is a huge hurdle for her. Her answer for this will be to use her power to thin the veil wherever she is in an attempt to access more power. This is, of course, a super terrible idea, but the only way she can exercise any showy magic like native mages. She would love to talk magical theory, basic magical training, or arcane techniques with people. (I'm especially keen on her finding out about Blood Magic, Shapeshifting, and Eluvians, but I can be patient.)

Lastly, Galadriel has taken to weaving, in order to facilitate her own freedom as well as to repay those who are kind to her. She will be weaving, spinning, and embroidering banners cloaks, clothing, and all manner of decorations for her personal use. She's very good at it and everything is (at the very least) vaguely enchanted. Feel free to join her sewing circle or demand she stop using unknown magic on decorative needlecrafts.

GIFTS
Galadriel has been gifted many great and terrible things in her life, but she has a deep and abiding fondness for those that are created by the hands that give them, for things that grow, and for delicate, pretty things. She is fond of flutes, white cloth, gleaming silver, and mead. She is markedly less fond of rings.

Do not give her rings.*

*Or do, she would actually be pretty receptive to those right about now.
